Curated by Alison Williams, a third year fine art student set this exhibition up as an aim to promote local business merged with the art scene of Northampton. As seen in the proposal attached my work was as to exhibit along with eight other fine art students. Instead of having an exhibition in one venue were the viewer would go round the room looking at the art, this exhibition challenges the traditional methods of curating as the viewers has to go around the town of Northampton in order to look at the pieces of art. With the collaboration of eight artists within the University of Northampton, the setting of the exhibition was simple:

• 8 different artist

• 8 different works of art

• 8 different venues

• 8 weeks

Instead of having invigilators for the works, a couple of us took it in turns to rote the work around the different venues. This gives us each a chance to state that each of us artists has exhibited in each of the venues, which include:

• Northampton museum and art gallery

• Collective collaborations, art gallery

• Are you being served, café

• Lawrence’s, café and bakery

• Leopold’s, café

• Made in Northamptonshire, art shop

• Most marvellous place to shop, vintage shop and café

• The University of Northampton
